Mathematical model of the NPP Krško PCFV system for the RELAP5 computer code

Containment building is the final barrier for radioactive releases from a nuclear power plant (NPP). Preserving its integrity will minimize these even in case of severe accident with core degradation and melt discharge containment accompanied pressure temperature increase. Installation venting system ability to filter fission products preferred way deal issue present future NPPs, especially after Fukushima accident. Such system, called passive filtered (PCFV), was installed 2013 NPP Krško. Thermal hydraulic model PCFV which included aerosol iodine filters, associated pipings valves developed best-estimate computer code RELAP5. Main results discussion are presented compared relevant documentation.
